A very brief discussion of
"Daddy-Boy" relationships

Have you ever felt stirrings toward someone quite a bit older or quite a bit younger? Then check out our discussion of so-called "Daddy-Boy" relationships. We'll begin with a few important points (summarized in the chart below).

  • It's not about incest, or actual fathers and sons.
    • Notice that the words are "Daddy," not "father", and "Boy", not "son". I suppose there are some guys who are into this, but incest and Daddy-Boy are not the same thing.
  • It's not about pedophilia.
    • The "Boy" can be of any age, just as a "boyfriend" or "girlfriend" can be of any age.
  • It's an idealized prototype relationship.
    • Any particular factor might or might not hold true in a particular couple. The "boy" might be older than the "daddy", for example.
    • But most of the details in the chart probably hold true in any given Daddy-Boy pairing.
  • The prototype is exciting to the participants.
    • In the photo here, the fact that the two guys are different in just about every dimension is exciting.
    • If these factors don't turn you on, then you're probably not into it.

It's not universal, but leather-style fantasies are probably more common among Daddy-Boy aficionados. So optionally, you can add any combination of these to the list:

For a recent photo, I asked two friends to improvise -- one acting like a daddy type, the other like a boy type. The result was the striking shot above of the two of them hugging face to face. Now trace the outlines of the different parts of the body, and then add lines showing the size of each part:

As you can see, the fellow on the right is 1/3 to 1/2 bigger in every measurement. In the diagram, the fact that the two guys are different in just about every dimension are exciting. If these factors don't turn you on, then you're probably not into this type of relationship.

Everything here is consensual. The Daddy is on top because the Boy loves the feeling of having a big guy holding him down. The Daddy inserts because the Boy loves the power his boyishness holds over his partner -- and vice versa. The Daddy decides what to do because the Boy loves responding to his initiatives, and wants to do whatever he can to please his partner. The Daddy has a similar objective, but acts as if he has the responsibility to figure out what that is.

Psychodynamically, the Boy is seeking a good Daddy -- probably resembling the type of Daddy he never had when he really was a boy. And the Daddy is seeking a Boy who will play with him -- probably resembling the type of boy who never was willing to play with him when he really was a boy. The Boy gives his body to the Daddy in the hope, subconsciously, that this gift will transform the bad Daddy he really had into the good Daddy he knows he needs. And the Daddy plays his part by transforming himself from a gruff, dominating fucking machine into a sweet and tender hugger. Until next time, of course!
